Jim Mora Expected to be Named HC

I missed that thought along the way.... If it is he, it sure looks like he'll have connections to get assistants

Even though I'd be more excited for Moorhead. Mora did a pretty decent job at UCLA. Hopefully if this is true he's still got connections to some good assistants.

Well, this is off the radar. Interesting name. Not sure if taking on this endeavor would interest him considering where he's already been, but I'd be glad to see him take the reigns here.

On December 10, 2011, the UCLA Bruins announced the hiring of Mora as head coach, replacing alumnus Rick Neuheisel. Mora signed a five-year contract for $12 million, plus incentives. He immediately went to work as the head coach by hiring Adrian Klemm, Steve Broussard, Demetrice Martin and Eric Yarber as assistant coaches. Less than two months later, the results came early, as UCLA landed a consensus No. 12-ranked recruiting class in 2012 after having a class ranked in the high 40s at Rick Neuheisel's departure.

Good lord. I give. What a mistake. Another career .500 Coach in college and the NFL. 59 years old. Young, energetic, winners is what we need. Get me Moorhead or the Holy Cross coach.
As someone who is 54, 59 doesn't seem terribly old to me. And as a UConn math major, let me clarify that 46-30 is basically a 60% winning percentage and not .500. If we played 11 games that would be 7-4. Sign me up for that record.

I'm not so sure Spanos and Mazzone didn't recruit Mora. Interesting turn of events. I do know one thing, I like what Mazzone put together on short notice.
My thoughts too.
