Per Dad, she'll take one more visit to Kentucky this coming weekend and then make a decision.

It does sound as if she has dropped Tenn. In an article on Prospects Nation last week, it was written that she planned to visit Kentucky & Tennessee after the early signing period! Sounds like plans have changed: dropping Tennessee and visiting Kentucky during the early signing period; maybe she'll even sign early as well.

Am not going to try to overanalyze what the change in plans signifies, but will instead just enjoy that Tennessee was eliminated from consideration!

"The last place for her to go is Kentucky and by this time next week, because I am sick of this stuff too, I am hoping she can give us all an answer,"

I love this quote from Kia's dad.

Enjoyed that quote as well! It does have to get a little overwhelming all the recruiting stuff for the families - exciting to get the attention, but ...
Sounds like a good visit.
Did anyone identify the second young women at the Hartford game? Someone posted that their was someone else sitting in the same row next to the Nurse contingent.
I know Hartford is a small school but after watching Jen's teams over the years fight and scrap against Uconn and play a nice team game I wonder why more mid-range players aren't interested in getting coached by her.

Erin Boley, a 2016 kid from Kentucky. Excellent player. A Louisville poster said recently that she's thought to be a Stanford lean.

Thanks CAT and FAN - I noticed the Boley thread after I posted.

I saw TonyC today and told him privately what I thought would heavily influence Nurse's decision. Once she commits I will share my thoughts selectively.

She sounds like a very smart kid. Surely she is knowledgeable enough to know that Rocky Top is Death Valley for point guards. The Vols neither play nor coach the kind of offense that a versatile pg can enjoy and develop in.

Anxiously awaiting!!

I don't want to get too happy about potentially getting Kia Nurse until after she signs a LOI......I just don't want to get my hopes up.

However , her dad made me smile when he was quoted as saying....... while visiting UConn over the weekend "... it was great for her to get a look at the best U.S. university in women's basketball in the country." Hopefully if they feel that UConn is the best university in women's basketball they will take Geno's offer. But stranger things have happened.

And that's why I am not getting too excited until after she signs that LOI.

Dad is involved... Geno does well with dads a lil better than moms

wonder if they don't like the campus, locate and what the school offers academically

tweet from Indiana beat writer says Kia Nurse cancelled visits to Kentucky and Tennessee, although I don't think a visit to Knoxville was ever scheduled.

Elite 2014 women's prospect Kia Nurse has cut her list to Indiana, UConn, Penn St after canceling visits to Tenn, Kentucky.

Thanks for that bit of info, Cat.....

Fingers crossed and cautiously optimistic, here!

Is there a Nurse approaching the House that Geno built? I hope so. Feeling like I could use the band aide.

I sm now totally optimistic. Her visit to Indiana was a courtesy call, since her sister played at Bowling Green for Coach Curt Miller.

Kentucky is now out. Tennessee was never in.

I can't imagine that she would prefer Penn State to UConn.

I expect an announcement momentarily.

If memory serves right, Kia was quoted as saying (paraphrasing), "I'm scheduling my 5 visits, but if after any of the visits I feel like it is right then I will cancel my upcoming visits and commit.

If so, it would be because of the present facilities (UCONN's are about to be upgraded) Bryce Jordan is light years ahead of Gambel, particular engineering interests, or she really loves funnel cakes. Ice cream is a toss up between the two.

Not only is she a great player, but with Kaleena and Morgan injured, we really need a Nurse.

I can see it now: The US Olympic team has 4-6 UConn players. Canada has almost as many. :)
