Stewie played great......And certainly put her name solidly in the conversation for POY.

IIRC, Stewie played all 20 min of the 1st half and didn't look all that winded. And she wasn't exactly standing around. In addition to everything else one can say about her, she is in great shape.

Especially that first half show that Stewie put was absolutely incredible! One of the best halfs I've seen by a female player. She had 21 points (more than the whole other team) scored from all over (mid range, long range, hook shots, lay-ups, slashing to the basket), 9 rebounds, etc..even her misses (which she had very few) looked good

Geno's comment that the 4 NY natives other than Stewie were out at Times Square till 3 in the morning. Doesn't Uconn have a curfew for players. Also is that why Stef, Bria and Saniya did not play well?

Usually when you pull down 11 rebounds like Stef did, it's not considered a bad game, though I guess we all have our standards. Saniya's shots just wouldn't stay down, but they were good looks. Bappens.

But it was great to see Tierney Lawlor wanting the ball for the last UConn shot. She's now at 43% on 3s, which is about double what some highly touted players on other teams are doing. Maybe we're seeing the second coming of Stacy Marron.
