I'm delighted that Kara is back to her best form, she played very well in the 2-day scrimmage in Hartford for a place on the woman's Team US a few summers ago and I was disappointed that she wasn't picked.
At her best, a formidable point guard with wonderful long- range shooting that she hones with extensive practice.

Kara is one of the most astute in-studio analysts and smartest on-court players.

Kara has gotten in real good shape. She also one of the best analyst. Good to see she has support on Boneyard.

She has always been good. She was fantastic in the 2008 Olympics. There is no way Lindsay Whalen is a better ballplayer.

ST, I've always had a bunch of respect for Lawson. Her senior year, there was a poll on the 'Yard, asking "if you could add one player from another team to UConn, who would it be?" I v nominated Kara - and, as you can imagine, due to her Tenn. affiliation and the fact that there were other players with gaudier stats, not everybody agreed with me (understatement!).

But, I'd been keeping an eye on Tennessee that year, and, it seemed like every time that the Vols were in a tight situation late - every time - Lawson took over and pulled her team through. I'd read at least a few game summaries that, when you boiled 'em down, said, "Tennessee was in a real battle in this one, until Lawson imposed her will late in the game". Well, UConn fans know what that's like - to have a guard like Bird, Taurasi, and, yes, Lawson - who keeps their cool and focus when things get tough and tight. Very, very valuable.

Yes there were other players that had better stats. She had a pretty good career at Tennessee. I think Jolly is considered the best overall pg. I do agree about Lawson imposing her will. She helped Sacramento win a WNBA title also.

Jolly may have benefitted as a point guard from playing with supremely better players.
