Of course the only way you know 100% is if you got it in person

It's the home printer made "Joe Markus" certification that is more of a red flag than any signature variance. Might as well bought if from a "private collector" on ebay who swears he ran in to JC at Baskin Robbins and happened to have a piece of basketball floor for him to sign. Good rule of thumb. If there is doubt or it seems fishy, it probably is. Truth is you don't have to worry about these guys too much. Pretty easy to spot the scam even as a novice. It's the real talented forgers on expensive items that most people worry about. I have seen multiple Bob Marley signed albums that look brand new for $350. If they were real they would go for thousands and the chances someone had like 5 in mint condition are nil. All it takes is one sucker though. That's what the people with the homemade paper certifications hope for. They are not master criminals. It's a numbers game.

I was at an event where the 2000 Women's team was there (except Svetlana Abrosimova), some guy was trying to get a ball autographed by everyone, I think it was Kelly Schumacher who said I can do a Svet, and signed her name on the ball.

The funny thing is there is no record of a Joe Markus or an EJ Autographs anywhere online. Possibly phantom entities created by an unknown person. How are you sure the slab of wood is even the 2004 NC floor?

Saw this memorabilia thread and I was going though some stuff today and found the program and ticket stubs from our first Big East Championship in 1990. Good times!!

Speaking of good times, can turn that 2004 NC floor piece into a cutting board. People who wouldn't know it's a fake would flip out.
