I recently ran into Jerome and quite frankly I agree with Coach's comments. With some added maturity Jerome wishes he had done some things differently on and off the court. A couple of years out, I think guys figure out who gave them straight talk and who were enablers to things in hindsight that they wish they had made different choices about. He sees what a focus on game prep has done for Ray Allen. But as Coach says Jerome needs to seize the current day and make the right choices going forward be it in getting his degree or with basketball.
I also think while Jerome always loved to play ball he probably could have used a few less summer league type games and more individual work/practice on certain parts of his game. .....but that's water over the game.
