2026 Recruiting: Jerzy Robinson

Jerzy posted pics visit to SC. I'm curious to know what happened in the visit to Uconn for her nor Bjorn to post anything. Vukosa posted the pics two days after the visit.
UConn doesn't promote their visits on social like SC, LSU etc. They run a tight ship. Olivia only shared pics she took with Tina & ONO. She posted the official visit pics only after she committed. Serah and Kaleigh did the same in the summer.

Not true. The portal’s visits is a another dinamic. Olivia shared the Charles and ONO pics on oct. 10, posted the official visit pics on oct. 15 and posted the commit on oct. 21. A normal dinamic for a recruitment official visit.

Someone has a truly wild imagination by thinking there is any chance she would start on a team with Shade, Quinones, Ziebell and Cheli plus the possibility that Sara Strong would play the three. She wasn't even in the rotation for the U19 team. Neither Robinson nor Bjorn showed anything special on that squad, particularly in comparison to Hall and Davidson. IMO UConn would be much better off pursuing two European players.
Simply “Liking” this post would not give it the support it deserves. I too watched every FIBA game wanting to see both Jerzy and Bjorn only to see them relegated to limited minutes. I do think the coaching of that team was underwhelming but I also was not overly impressed with Jerzy’s and Bjorn’s skill either. I was impressed by Heckel though. As @Vowelguy stated, I don’t think elite players worry about competing so Jerzy and Bjorn will go
Where they feel most comfortable. That said, I would prefer having her but also know the portal changes everything to fill gaps in your roster. If not UConn, then anywhere but SC….or Tennessee. Just sayin….

It’s “Skim Milkey”. I hadn’t realized how ambiguous my message was since we had discussed them earlier in the thread. My apologies!
Thank You! I appreciate your clarification and admit that I
missed some of the earlier discussion.... I also apologize for my
oversites. ... Excelsior!

Don't disagree that Jerzy would be unlikely to start as a freshman but I don't read too much into her not being in the regular rotation on the U19 team. She's two years younger than Heckel, Davidson and Betts, one year younger than Bjorn and some others. She's certainly a step below Hall, who's the same age. But in two years, could Jerzy be on the same level or even a higher one than Jazzy Davidson is at today? Sure, why not?

Actually, it was the coach's choice. She only gave Jerzy 6 minutes in the SF and 0 minutes in the Final, so it's not something that should be demanded of Jerzy, because she can't produce without being on the court. While those girls were playing in the U18 Americup to qualify for the U19 World Championship, Jerzy was playing in the U17 World Championship, where she was world champion, MVP, and scoring leader with 21 PPG. Jerzy arrived later on the U19 team, which is why she didn't have as much PT.

,I don’t know if this has been mentioned previously, but something else to consider with Robinson is she has a deal with Nike. It’s my understand that SC work with Under Armor, LSU and UConn are both Nike schools. I’m not sure that’s a big factor, but something to keep in mind. And then LSU is pretty deep at the G/W position. There may be more minutes for her at UConn to start the season, compared to LSU. Robinson directly mentions in an interview with regards to her choice of school that coaching, tournament performance, offensive style of play, other players on the team, support system, building her as a woman, and an organization with faith as important. She also mentions that NIL is not a huge factor for her, something that will come along with the basketball. I may be bias but all of those things to me scream UConn…top
SCar’s contract with UnnderArmour ends this season. They will be a Nike school when Jerzy enrolls. I don’t know if it matters but A’ja’s new Nike contract is somehow tied in with Scar’s. Of course, Paige is also Nike but Angel is Rebok.

Does it matter? Well, all three schools are Nike affiliated so that may have influenced her official visits but I don’t think it will influence her final decision.

We have a close relationship with Jerzy’s agent, Klutch Sports, but they are gonna advise her on the best deal and I doubt our agent friendship will matter. I didn’t with Juju for example.

The 6'4" girl from france and the Spanish center who is now going to school in the states are both options. I love the French girls game. If we don't recruit a guard I wonder if we try to get smith in 27'.

Total fiction. The competitions were in different years.

You knew she was all about the payday?
No, did not think of that. I watched her play many times and she did not seem like a UConn type recruit. I watched her actions on the court and did not like what I saw. Just a feeling I had.

Could be. But I still have a "feeling" that Jerzy may be a future
Huskie. I read some of her comments (in an interview or
article posted, somewhere, during the last few weeks). Her
quiet approach to her selection process and some of the
comments have reminded me somewhat of Sarah also not engaging in
any early "reveal". I have no true evidence. I just felt the
need to give another opinion. My batting average is not
too high, but I did hit a home run in little league once in
a blue moon. Let the "prognostications" continue!
And HAPPY HOLLOWEEN to all the BONEYARDERS! Z

Particularly, that French woman named Gabby has game. She never takes a play off, and her tremendous energy is applied to win every play on both sides of the ball.

Just wondering what would have happened if Gabby's foot planted 6 inches farther out (to be beyond the arc) in the Olympic finals, and forced overtime...to be

Whomever Geno, CD, & Company recruits will be a winner. That is where the true "batting average" counts, women who want to be launched correctly into life, and possibly pro-ball will select UConn. We just have to wait and see if one of them is Jerzy.

Go Huskies!!!

Just to be clear -- since I find this thread confusing -- Jerzy hasn't announced any commitment anywhere, right?
Correct. There has been some speculation online that it's down to LSU and SC, however nothing from her camp. Reminds me of Sarah Strong's journey where some folks thought she might be swaying away from UConn. We'll know when she announces.
