The new college rule changes approved this week include not requiring that all jerseys be tucked in. Think of how much shorter the games will be without the time wasted after the refs tell free-throw shooters to tuck in their jerseys. More importantly, think of all the new jersey sales when programs come up with untucked versions. Surely some designers will come up with something better than what so many teams wore in the 1970s and 1980s.

I’d hope it doesn’t make a bit of difference. I was always taught to tuck my jersey in because it made it just a bit tougher for an opponent to grab it. This was over multiple coaches in multiple sports.

I noticed that the refs had already stopped enforcing the jersey rule during the tournament. In the NC game, some of the SC players played untucked much of the game. Why do I have a feeling CD will enforce her own jersey rule at UConn?

For a while, the WNBA went to untucked jerseys, however it looks like the tucked are back. US Soccer kits are now untucked. I'm a purist, so it took me a while to accept that whole trend, LOL.

This ranks somewhere between what I might watch on tv next month and should I put blueberry's or bananas on my cereal.

It's the worldwide trend of everything going "casual". Very few coat & tie anymore. Still a few places with just ties. I've been to casual weddings and casual funerals. I'm 59 and to me, going casual to events that, IMO, deserve respect is disrespectful.

I don't care whether they are tucked in or left out, but everyone must be the same. UNIFORM.

I don't really care about the jerseys. But I don't think a lot of leagues overseas require a tuck-in, as it was always the "foreign" players that I noticed coming onto court un-tucked.

Correct, and I can't stand the evening news anchors and reporters with the casual and even downright play clothes attire. Dress up and look professional and respectable for national and local television!

Well it depends on the cereal of course.

But the correct answer is usually strawberries.
