Was that a lay up? Or out there do you get 2 steps for a half court shot? LOL

Great shot and reaction!

What?

What what? He took 2 steps so it is a travel - that's what. You don't get to take 2 steps for a 3 normally right? Or did he sneak a dribble in there I am missing.

He took one full step and then pushed off on the 2nd but didn't return to the floor before releasing the ball. Two steps (travel) means you completed two and are starting your 3rd. There isn't some special rule for layups either.

It's easy to tell because he goes right foot, left foot, shot... one step. It'd be two if it was right foot, left foot, right foot without releasing the ball.

It looked like a travel but the refs always give you one extra step when you're receiving the ball.

He didn't get an extra step though... He only ever had 2 feet on the ground while holding the ball. You can't take 2 full steps if your left and right feet only touch the floor once each.
