currently watching Bos/Orl and its interesting that Orl is playing Oladipo primarily at the point. Its obviously just summer league but he looks pretty good at initiating the offense and getting Orl into sets.

Also even though Kemba isn't playing for Charlotte I saw that Dyson is on the Charlotte summer league roster.

Sweet feed to Adams for a dunk on a pick-and-roll, followed up by a steal and a dunk of his own. He is by far the best player on the floor right now.

And here's the thing: He showed incredible patience off the dribble in that pick-n-roll play, waiting for it to develop instead of pushing recklessly. It was a mature bit of basketball, something that wasn't in his arsenal when he was at UConn.

I'll be shocked if he doesn't get 20 minutes per game at least for OKC this year. He's going to be very good.

Man, you guys are hard up. Summer league is about the most unwatchable form of basketball on the planet. Right there with the over-50 Sunday rec league game, though that at least provides some laughs.

Meh.. let me introduce you to women's basketball. Personally, if and when i do watch it's to see certain players because i like them or am curious about how they fit in a nba team i follow.

I'm going through basketball withdrawals right now and its way too hot outside to make any kind of moves, I'll take anything I can get at this point.

Haven't seen official stats, but the ESPN crew stole three points from him. He should have finished with 17. Had nine at the half and hit two spot up threes and two foul shots in the third quarter.

A bit of an uneven performance - looked great from three, showed quickness off the dribble, but his midrange game still has abandoned him. I wonder if the heavy weight lifting they've probably had him doing to try to get him stronger has thrown off some of the creative midrange shots he used to have. One game isn't enough to draw conclusions, though.

The weather. That is a valid excuse. Absolute hot lately.

Summer league is actually entertaining maybe I'm just a hoops junky. It's basically a pick up game with nba starters scattered through it.

I love Summer League. I'd actually say in order of enjoyment, I like the NBA Playoffs, Summer League, then Regular Season. Love getting a chance to see the future of the league (and usually there are UConn players to watch throughout). Also, as pointed out, they really help get through the doldrums of summer. I DVR them and watch them throughout the week.

I hate when good college players get to the NBA and don't see any time. Maybe they're not good enough, but it seems most NBA coaches are really against playing young players (see Lamb last year), so I love getting to see them play against other NBA players.

Summer league helps bridge the gap between the NHL/NBA playoffs and NFL training camp for me. So glad NBA TV airs this.

If you are a college basketball which we all are, you will love the summer league. Last year, I watched every night and a lot of the guys that were playing were good college players over the last 3-5 years. Its also fun watching the UConn guys that are playing in the league.

During the part of the game with Detroit playing, the focus of the announcers seemed to be on Andre about 80% of the time. He was controlling the boards for the most part and had several blocks. His improved shooting form that he showed early in the last NBA season appeared to be long gone and he was putting up bricks, making one of four and looking bad while doing so. There were times when he got the ball in close and tried some soft "toss up" kind of shots that mostly did not go in. I would like to see him try to drive and just dunk on every chance that is remotely possible. It would be nice to see if Hakeem O. could teach him some of his offensive moves, but it would also be great if he could learn some Moses Malone techniques of using his body to move opponents out of the way enough that he would really own the boards. He may never develop a really refined offensive game, but could be a dominant force if he utilized his power and quickness more effectively.

Only saw the second half (he was 1-6 in the first half with a few turnovers, so I missed a bad half), but he looked ok I thought. He missed a couple shots where he looked fluid but they didn't go down, and he had a nice soft spin move for a bucket that was waved off on a weak charge call (defender flopped as Andre spun away from contact).

Free throws are still a nightmare and his successful offense was one dunk on a pick and roll, and three tip-ins (two off his own misses - very Moses Malonish). But 16 boards, six blocks, five steals is a healthy stat line for 25 minutes. Just has to keep working on his O - he's probably a couple years away from being consistent on that end.

Any info on the Greater Hartford pro am schedule. Can't find it anywhere. Would like to get to a game or two. Waterbury is closer for us. Thought it might start this week.

Drumond needs a top PG to improve his offensive game. If he played with Chris Paul.....

Imagine if the Heat somehow traded up and took Drummond in the draft 2 years ago...

I know there's a lot of Heat haters here, but imagine Drummond in transition with LeBron and Wade. Unreal. He would be a perfect missing piece to that team who needs a center badly.
