Jaylin Stewart in Portal

Given that we “acquired” Hines in a trade with Seton Hall, I’d be ok with them receiving JStew in return.

I’d even tolerate him going to Marquette now that Shaka grew out of his allergy to the Portal.

Most other BE teams, eww. Especially St. John’s or GTown.
I don't wanna see Stew on a BE team but my first thoughts are get him away from Gtown because I don't like Cooley. I like Holloway so of course it would be the lesser of all evils same with Shaka.

He's not going to be in the BE - not sure why this is carrying on.

Wherever he lands, I wish him well and hope he finds a program and coach that gets the most out of him. He'll always be a Husky!

Jaylin, like any player, needs to make a decision that's in his best interest, and I completely understand his decision.

Sting looking down on all the chaos of the WCW/NWO madness. While the crowd wonders which side he will join. Fitting considering it’s WrestleMania weekend. lol. I definitely want him back so much now.

I remember reading where Hurley said Jalin couldn’t play effectively for more than 15 minutes. That never meant any sense to me.
Never heard that before. Does not sound like something Hurley would say. He always puts positive spin about players

Obviously we want to retain our Guys, who got the Team to the final Dance. Outside of that, I'd like to prioritize getting a Combo Guard in here. It might be too expensive and difficult for the Staff to woo a top point guard in to play backup minutes. Getting someone who has other attributes the Team lacked and has shown the instincts to be able to learn to play the point sounds good to me. A player in between Tristen and Aiden 😆

So that gif tells us nothing. Lol

St johns would not want him and georgtown might not have 5 players

Stew is loyal to UConn so I wouldn’t worry about him going to a conference rival of UConn

Can Hurley do Shaheen a solid and help get Stew to Seton Hall. I much prefer to see Stew there then Georgetown and yes I do fear Stew would torch us but prefer to see it with Seton Hall then Georgetown.
I love UConn basketball but I hope he torches us. Just to shut some of these guys up. My worst quality, by far, is wishing some of my fellow UConn fans fall flat on their faces.

Dude is not going to be in the BE. He's going out west - not sure if you read the CTInsider article.

If people (you know who you are) can't appreciate players like Stewart and are glad he's gone thinking he's not "UConn caliber", then you deserve the soulless version of college basketball that has been taking over in this transfer portal and NIL era.

I on the other hand will support Hurley's efforts to maintain some semblance of the game and program we love, even if ultimately futile. I would rather that than be Michigan basketball or Indiana football. It may have been fun for them this year since those teams haven't had success for years, but trying to care about a team of single season mercenaries every year will get old quick.

I am not a fan of the NBA at all, but at least teams generally keep rosters together for a few years allowing you to care about the players. If something doesn't change, "college" sports (at least fball and bball) will be even harder to care about than pro sports.
Put perfectly. It's already getting old for me. This Stewart thing hurts and I had a weird, kinda distant feeling watching the tourney this year. Even though we did great, the other games just felt off to me. As if I were watching a sound stage putting on a rendition of "March Madness 26"

Connection and getting to know players is why I truly love my favorite teams. Hurley wants to maintain this. Results with no depth is like driving to the finish line of a marathon.

Anyone can go to a restaurant and get a good bowl of soup but it's different when your mom makes it for you.

I also think the team didn't really gel until they got into the tourney adds to that. Though once they had that great 2nd half against Duke the team just felt as good as the '23 and '24 teams.

Also, anyone here who has spoken negatively about Stewie should take a step back. He’s shown nothing but respect for the program—he clearly cares about the school, the coach, and his teammates. He simply wanted more playing time and never once complained.

The criticism is unwarranted and, frankly, disrespectful.
