Our talent level is going to be ridiculous next year
I keep thinking about how things are going this year…then adding a top 5 recruiting class next year:

Seems like he has put on weight in the past handful of months and it seems like he has lost some quickness. Put him on the Clingan regimen?!
Agree with this but he’s guarding this opposing team’s biggest player every game for his high school team. He’ll have to put the work in during the summer like Clingan did

Disagree. He was always slow. He may have even trimmed down a bit.

Clearly he’s very talented and seems to have a good all around game, can create his own shot, but I was concerned as well when I saw how slow he seems to move. Also when getting his jumper off it seems slow. But maybe it’s just because he doesn’t have to play as fast against this competition? I obv trust the staff, as they clearly know what they’re doing, but curious to see what he looks like once we see him here.

Just wondering, what are (supposedly) JS's height and weight?
247 recruiting service has him at 6’6 210

He definitely looks way thicker than 210 lbs. If he is 210 lbs, let's say it isn't all "good" weight.

Agreed. Here's a state playoff game from last spring. Looks a little quicker than currently...

He has some really interesting skills for a player of his height and build.

Somewhat of a smooth, well-oiled swiss army knife type.

Special player. Scores the first 10 points of the game off of two alley-oops and two 3s. Not great competition to be fair, but you can only beat who’s in front of you - see Donovan Clingan.

Big fan of the long sleeve look.

He's so good and the competition so bad he looks bored.

Our trainer will get him in shape, get off the baby fat.

Definitely not concerned. He probably only needs to drop what, 10-15lbs? That's nothing in a D1 weight room. They'll put him on a diet plan and he'll be fine.

Biggest points to improve will be his speed for defense and getting his conditioning to where he can plan 30 mins a game if we need it.

Highly skilled - even against this comp, it's easy to see. Looks like a decent athlete too, who could become a plus athlete if he commits to the strength & conditioning program here.

This class 2023 could be incredible.
