Jayden Ross practice highlights

We have a plethora of super athletic 6'5"-6' 8" guys who can shoot and handle the ball. Opponents will be exhausted and demoralized. We can go 10 deep.
A plethora? You tell us we have a plethora; I just would like to know if you know what a plethora is. I would not like to think that a person would tell us we have a plethora, and then find out that that person has no idea what it means to have a plethora.

What makes you think he doesn't know what plethora means?

UConn players between 6'5" and 6'8" comprise Jaylin Stewart, Isaiah Abraham, Alex Karaban, Jayden Ross, Liam McNeeley. All can shoot and handle; 3 may be starters and the other 2 would be good enough to be rotation players at almost any other school; they might get into the rotation here.

Doesn't that seem like a plethora, given that only 5 players can be on the court, and the roster can be at most 13?

Definitely a plethora!

I've loved his game for a while now. I've stated this a number of times before but I believe that this kid is going to breakout either this season or next season. Not everyone is ready to be a starter from day one. If I recall correctly, Ray Allen came off of the bench early on during his time in Storrs. Ross has a TON of potential. Don't sleep on him.

So would you say he has a plethora of different skills?

I have never seen a path to the floor with this kid.

I don't quite know what you guys see on video that I don't.

I foresee him not getting off the bench all year and then hopping in the portal, in which case I will wish him the best.

To me, he's similar to Diggins. Nice solid player, who is simply not among the top 8 guys who will see the floor regularly.

Ross is coming. He's a playmaking wing that can shoot. What video are YOU talking about where he doesnt look good. You're making stuff up.

He's much better than Diggins. I don't think they are on the same level. With that being said, I don't disagree that it's going to be difficult for him to see consistent playing time. Our roster is simply too deep -- and Abraham looks like a pleasant surprise (great for us, but perhaps not so great for Ross' playing time).

No he’s not making things up he’s just voicing his opinion.

What the hell are you going to see on a 30 second highlight video?

Weird post.

Dan/staff and NBA scouts are intrigued by his potential and measurables.. I'll go with their assessments .He's got to keep fighting for PT against some really talented guys on the roster. No one said it would be easy with the team Dan has assembled.

his shooting is the swing skill. I think he doesn't shine in the iso heavy drills but that's not his role. he's a 3 and d guy who can seamlessly fit into the system

His ability to get in a seam and sink those mid range J's looks promising, will continue to get stronger, quicken up and be able to drive it all the way in. Can he play D, and what is the eval on longer range shooting?

I'm not qualified to say whether he will find PT or not but I do know that we were blessed to not have any serious injuries the past 2 years and if God forbid, a players is sidelined for a while, I'd much rather have Jayden available than not. How many teams have "spare" 6' 7" agile players who can shoot and hit the rim with their chin?
