LOL, not sure we're having the same conversation. Both Harrell and Hancock left where they were because the coaches who brought them there left. You did know this, right?

They each shopped for places to go. Your boy Purvis and your new bf Lyle both committed verbally to Louisville. Then they changed their minds.

So, come to think of it, yes. They are head cases.

A huge number of NCAA bball players now leave their former school.

Pitino too recruits decommits, like Blackmon. He's a decommit. Kids who are getting good advice like Austin Rivers also decommit.

By the way, is Chase Behanan a headcase?

Todd Fuller still at UL? Who was Purvis' main recruiter?

You may have more of a point with Lyle but the kid said he was coming bc he wanted to play with Snider, Snider still there?

Similar if not exactly the same thing.

Rick Pitino likes headcase in restaurants. He always says "don't double dribble you might mess up your pants"

I was actually serious. The players have been playing all Summer at the Student Union Building. If Quinton or Lyle never watched, then I would be totally surprised. Snider saw Lyle recruited over him as a threat - and Lyle said virtually the same thing, as quoted in here. They were both concerned about playing time. Pitino wasn't - we weren't - but they were.

The rest of your post means what, exactly? It has absolutely nothing to do with much of anything. Hell yes we are thrilled with Harrell and Luke. I did not call either one of these kids head cases. I said they were worried, looking at Rozier, Gill, Jones, Ware for 15 and possibly Rozier and Gill for 16. You just ranted on about the other on your own.

Do I think they are head cases now? maybe, sure. Lyle seems to be whoring for visits and lobbying Kansas to take he and his new bff. The train has left for us anyway. Hell with each of them. Anyone callous enough to decommit the night before the UK football game inspires a mess of reactions, none of which will ever be retrievable.

The thing with Purvis, lol - ask him. He was committed to us for long months, taking huge Twitter time to reassure our more nervous posters he was totally there for Louisville. You may have missed all that and I hope he puts it together, but he also earned some legitimate rancor down here.

For your first paragraph, I'm sure they saw them play during their visits. They then committed, or at least Lyle would have after his visit. So how would he be deterred based on that? Snider possibly, considering when he committed.

I gave you the benefit of the doubt, but you just keep digging that hole.

But Purvis has proven not to be a head case by choosing UConn and Lyle can save his rep with a decision during the Michigan game.........;)

Thank you for the true voice of reason. Sorry to disappoint you boys, lol, but I cannot resuscitate Purvis' perception among the UofL faithful. Lord knows I saw lots of his vids and I think he's a terrific ballplayer and talent. Yes, he was a part of the assistant coach Fuller operation, who moved to Missouri and Purvis decommitted - to NC State, ironically. But he made a splash ingratiating himself at the Ville. That was probably his biggest sin. He spent time interacting. He was somewhat instrumental in many people losing interest in recruiting, so he may have accomplished something positive after all.

"Digging a hole", lol. Oh well. Come on down............it's cooler here. :p

No, but Chane is something of a true throwback to earlier UofL teams, back when GPA and the appearance of propriety were not particularly large concerns. He is a local swordsman with evidently more than one kid, something your more lascivious posters who relish the Pitino skank banging will undoubtedly appreciate, judging by their comments. Heh heh, sex, heh heh. Enjoy!!

His rep suffered on the court by occasionally lackadaisical practice habits now and then and resulting doghouse time with Pitino. He tends to wake up for important games and he supports his replacements as a terrific team mate, so he's 100% cool as far as most of us are concerned. Most of us believe this will be his final year at UofL but he is a true "tweener" for the pro game - a 6' 6" PF - who needs to develop an outside shot. He is a hell of a college ballplayer, having said all that, and I love the guy. Great sense of humor and a bubbly personality.

The way Senore characterized UL and the culture of the basketball team is very much the way we see Ollie developing his program (minus the restaurant extracurriculars). Ever since UL joined the Big East, Pitino has put an extremely well coached team on the court. They play hard every second and are disciplined as well. I find his manner to be pretty arrogant, but he is damn good and most would describe Calhoun in similar terms (just not so slick). Maybe Pitino is doing a lot of things right in addition to winning. Is that right that he is only 61? If so, watch out what they could do over the next decade with the way they have been recruiting.

Calhoun was always one of my most favorite coaches. But certain people and programs really hated the guy. Pitino draws the same controversy - whether it is the moralistic crap or resentment over how he handles himself in conversations we watch or read about. UK fans can be counted on to wave any negative flag like survivors on a Pacific atoll in hopes of denigrating anything Louisville accomplishes, so his entourage is like this crouching tiger at the safest of times.

Calhoun didn't tolerate writers worth a dam and it was one of my favorite characteristics, lol. Pitino does the opposite - he plays them like a violin. His press conferences are tours de force, with some honesty and wisdom sprinkled in with just a touch of humiliation. But both men put some incredible teams on the court. Calhoun's gracious comments about Louisville cemented his good image as a fair and judicious guy our first year in the Big East.

I see, so the fact he decommitted from Cincy and then committed to Louisville makes him a bit of a headcase, but not very much of one.

What if Blackmon commits to you guys, will he be a headcase?

Hard to believe you guys are holding the enthusiasm of a 16 year old kid against him. I remember the things I was doing as a 16 year old--I would surely qualify here as a head case, but maybe that's why I'm on this board in the first place.

The hit job Wetzel did on Pitino at Calipari's request (and with Wetzel admitting it in a column) should have been plastered everywhere to discredit Wetzel, but somehow the weasel keeps on going.

Life aint fair, lol, is it? Dude, recruiting is a totally ugly affair any more. I don't get my panties in a knot over 16 year olds, personally. But sometimes the drama cries for an adult and just a glimmer of karma. You're begging for me to admit I am absolutely wrong because you evidently see us recruiting Blackmon who decommitted to IU. You ignore the obvious red flag his decommittment has made to our coaches as if it were not there, simply because you want a narrative which makes your recruits tolerable.

Recruits? Or, recruit. Purvis. Hamilton never committed anywhere else.

If an adult takes any interest in recruiting at all, he gives up his right to complain about the minds of 16 year olds.

"It was hard losing Tim Fuller and then having to focus," Purvis told ESPN. "I talked it over with my family and we came to the conclusion that I would open up my recruitment."

I have met Purvis a few times ( 1 recently not while he was actually signing autographs either). He is at a place now conducive to his growth from both a basketball and human perspective. The head case comment is not fitting for the young man now at UConn.
