Assuming anyone missed the thread on it, 2025 PG Kelis Fisher has committed to UConn.
Congrats to the young lady but surprised Geno dipped so far down into the rankings at #25. His usual focus is on 1-10 and possibly as far out as 1-15. I’m sure he sees something in her a lot of us don’t see.

Have you seen her?

She's ranked 22nd and 23rd by two outlets at the moment, not 25th which was a mistake by Maggie Vanoni.

Napheesa Collier was ranked 25th by ESPN at the start of her sophomore season.

Rankings of kids as young as sophomores like Fisher are meaningless to competent, experienced coaches like Auriemma. He has his own rankings based on the projections he and his staff make after seeing these kids play with their own eyes. Plus the kid’s attitude and personality are a major factor as well. They’ve obviously scouted Fisher well to offer her this early in her HS career.

When it comes to specifics about her game, Dignard says Fournier needs to continue to work on her shooting and ball handling.

“Toby is a phenomenal athlete,” says Canadian under-17s coach Cheryl Jean-Paul. “So exciting for a coach to see a young woman setting such high athletic standards, such as dunking in an international competition.”

After contact with several top college programs in the U.S., Fournier took to Instagram and posted a list of her preferred destinations — includes Connecticut, South Carolina, UCLA, Stanford and Michigan. Her father wants her to go to Michigan; she says that might be a little too close to home.

The Big O has 17 offers as a freshman already. Everybody's looking for a 6-4 banger.

And doesn't that look like Fudd behind Muhl trying out a new brace a couple days early?
That may have been what she was wearing under her sweats. Locked straight when you are walking/weightbearing, and the hinge releases when you are sitting down, etc. Looks like a typical immobilizer with "options". Been there, done that 2x.

When you see Vukosa think more along the lines of a more athletic Dolson.
Yeah, she's gonna be a load in another 3-4 years. And it's just a 2 1/2 hr ride up to Storrs. ;)

This is from a new Shane Laflin piece that I should've posted here but didn't. Also write-ups on Fournier, Heckel, Koval, Jordyn Jackson, and Woliczko.

Olivia Vukosa, F/P

Height: 6-4 | Christ the King (N.Y.)

Vukosa is the most advanced big in the class at this time. She has incredible hands and really carves out space for rebounds and post-ups. She has the ability to take to ball after a rebound and push it up the floor to make good decisions or get to the paint.

Her competitive focus really sets her apart. Vukosa has a mature approach to the game that well exceeds her age and experience. Her touch around the rim and comfort both inside and out are true separators. She can fit into a lot of new-age systems because she can make reads on the outside but still get the old school post-up and face-up opportunities as well.
