I remember SJU was getting hosed at Gampel and UConn was fortunate to get that foul call on Sanogo so he could hit the tying FT to send it to OT and then win. Same goes for the missed travel call on Cole at MSG late in the game which was similar to Gillespie's travel which was called in Hartford. In any case, SJU just didn't go enough to win either game the same way UConn didn't do enough (missing wide open 3s) against Providence.

Having said all of that, I hope UConn crushes St. John's tomorrow and yes Providence got a very favorable whistle in their home game against UConn which I attended and saw first hand. There were numerous innocous (spelling) plays in today's Providence-Creighton game where Providence players were slipping and falling down with almost no contact with a Creighton player, but in this game they didn't get the calls, rightfully they didn't, whereas they did in the UConn game.
