For the 51st time we didn't have Tarris (our biggest player and best rebounder) or Mullins for the game.
There is no game we played where Tarris would matter more than that one. Reibe is better now too, than he was that early in the year. AZ was without a key player too. I suspect we'd win at home if replayed, but neutral site would be a wash.

I think we lost the rebounding battle in that one 43-23, and have recently lost rebounding battles with GTown, PC and Seton Hall. None of which are known to be great rebounding teams. Hard to know what a line there would be on an neutral court. KP says 7, but unlikely that would hold given UConn's brand and the fact they are 19-1. I could see 3ish.

But what about Michigan???

This Nebraska UM game is eye candy - talk about pace. Kid for Nebraska has 18 points halfway into first half. Nebraska plays fast, high energy and well coached.

These are the kind of teams I always ask how they'd respond if they got into the grinder with UConn.

Well we already know Michigan would kill UConn, you drilled that into our heads weeks ago. Hod forbid Nebraska wins this game, then you’ll be o them too!!

I have dibs on Nebraska already as B1G regular season champ. Hoiberg's teams at Iowa St. were routinely tough, hard outs. If he didn't have heart issues and didn't leave for NBA, he might've been pushing 500 wins this year. Just hope his pacemaker holds out.

But I doubt they beat UConn.

They look really good - play at pace and really together. Sneaky fast.

Figured Rutgers would fold in OT after the choke job
They might've pulled if off in regulation if not for a really stupid foul by their center, who body checked his defender while Rutty had the ball in final minute. It was the kind of dumb foul when you're on the verge of a win that I believe only Rutty is capable of.

Nebraska was down their #2 and #3 scorers (Mast & Frager), still took Michigan to the wire in their place. I do think Nebraska panicked a bit in final 40 seconds with a couple of less than quality shots. I still think Nebraska can win the B1G.

Michigan, Michigan State, and Virginia all escaped with wins tonight. They all could have easily lost.

So are Miami and Arizona the only undefeated teams left? UMass giving Miami a game.

Sure are.

I'd call that a quality loss for Nebraska - lead most of the game. They looked legit.

Purdue firmly falling off the contender line. They do not look good.

Use AZ as the barometer, suggest there are very few players that would start on AZ on the UConn roster. Oh Greg.

This is a really bad trend for the sport, but is consistent with what is happening in college football too. A lot of schools are simply not trying to compete at the highest level. This is why there are so few upsets relative to prior seasons.

Fans will lose interest in sports where the outcomes feel predetermined.

Indiana won CFB this year?
