This is not good.

Senator Chris Murphy on why Democrats have been quiet.

It does feel like there is a gap in Democratic leadership right now. Murphy is one of the few who has been pushing back.

It‘s beyond sad that the others are afraid to be vocal because of the MAGA terrorists. On one hand…I don’t blame them…on the other…they should choose another profession.

In his first week in office he released over 1000 criminals to the streets of America and this week he is trying to fire cops.

This isn't hard Democrats.

The Dems are sucking wind right now, no excuse but there is little they can do right now that would break through. They need to find a way to grab the spotlight and then say or do something significant once they grab it.

I'm saying this Musk thing is it. Even if it just gets Musk tossed, it would be a win. Second place is finding 4 votes to can Patel. There is no third place right now.

I actually think denying Patel is more important. Dude was caught in a blatant lie, under oath. If that doesn't disqualify him in the eyes of enough Rs to deny him confirmation, there's zero hope. There's not even a shred of plausible deniability here.

“IF” that doesn’t disqualify him. Lmao. I bet I could convince you to try to hold your breath until you passed out.

Lying is not enough to get the GOP off the bandwagon. Neither is serial assault or insurrection. We need to stop thinking there is a bottom.

Best we can hope for on anything going forward is that Congress Critter X decides bucking Trump is more expensive personally than sticking with him and hope they have a handful of friends who feel the same way.

The fact you couldn't find 4 GOP Senators to dump a misogynistic unqualified drunk from the top national security job, says everything.

I'm sick of this crap and it hasn't even been three full weeks.

On the one hand, I believe that anyone who might be against Felon47 should attempt to keep their current position and work subversively for their beliefs, the Constitution, and in the best interest of the democracy. On the other hand, these folks probably feel they will be weeded out and fired anyway, so they might as well retire instead of putting their pension, families, and futures (and maybe lives) at risk.

Either way, The US is weaker for it.
