I just got a notification from travelzoo.com that there's a hotel very near MSG with a super cheap rate for Jan weekend bookings, including Jan. 4. I booked and my 'queen studio suite' will end up costing $109 plus $16.08 taxes and fees. If anyone else is interested, hopefully I'll successfully cut and paste the info here.

If this doesn't work, the hotel is Candlewood Suites at 339W 39th St. and their phone is 1-212-967-2254 and I assume they'd give you that rate if you mention 'Travelzoo Deal'
