James Bouknight is good at basketball

Bouk is like the video game character that increases the effectiveness of all others 20% for as long as they are around.

Bouk's talent moved the line in vegas by 2plus points. In real life, his talent impacted the game much more.

I've watched them all since Cliff Robinson and just on pure basketball talent I think he's the best. As amazing as Ray was he just couldn't do some of the things Bouknight can do, same for Rip and the rest.

He's going to kill it in the NBA, hopefully after taking us on a run.
It's only been since the 2012-13 season for me, so the only one close is Shabazz and that's not even a competition

We've hardly seen Bouknight compared to our other all-time greats, I'm not at all convinced we've ever had a more talented player.
If we are talking talent alone and considering he is just a sophomore, Rudy Gay and Jeremy Lamb stand out as super athletic, smooth and talented players that hit that level by year 2. He without a doubt is in the conversation especially if we are talking last decade.

More productive than Rudy more talented than lamb maybe?

He's better than Lamb, probably better than Rudy too.

Deadly efficient and effortless. 18 points in 25 minutes tonight.

How he utilizes his speed and understanding of the angles is beyond his years.

Maybe? He is clearly better than Lamb and thats saying a lot. We`ve seen very little of what Bouk is capable of. Hes played in 35ish games while lamb played in 100 games?

that team was loaded

that team had more talent than 2009

Donyell Marshall was pretty good in college..... He could do it all.

New appreciation for his talent after today. He's on a different level.
Who is his pro comp?

Lamb didn’t just take over a game the way Bouknight can.
And that’s what makes Bouk different. Benny was too passive, Rudy never seemed to take charge, and athletically he’s better than Ray.
Bouk’s ability to dominate without breaking a sweat it seems, is what makes him special. This year is next year, guys. We can win this whole frickin thing now, starting today.

When he had that one hesitation dribble, layup and one from the left block in the first half all I could think was it's like having Bazz's craftiness with Ray's athleticism. He used the craftiness to get the space and then just rises above and beyond the others.

Most athletic/talented Soph wings:

1. Caron
2. Bouk
3. Rudy
4. Lamb

He's definitely a hybrid between RIP and Ray for me. Or maybe even a combination of both their skills. Which has probably been said before.

Probably the best evidence he's better than both is he's out after 2. They both needed 3. If he was around for three he would be almost exactly a combination of both.... with a quicker first step than both
