James Akinjo gets immediate eligibility to play at Arizona in 2020

Okay so there really is ZERO reason why Martin shouldn’t get the waiver. Lets see how much Emmert truly hates us

It's a question of how much time passes until we know..... hopefully before season starts.

What is the current running bs line holding up our waiver at this point? The darkness of this process is shameful.

Always possible the NCAA does hate us but I think the delay is just us applying later. Impossible to know for sure but Hurley's comments early were vague and then it was until June he actually said they applied for a waiver

And another.

He's from Davenport, Iowa, which is about a 5½-hour drive from Minneapolis.

So he went about 3 hours further from home. UConn is about 15 minutes closer to Martin's hometown of Allentown, PA than URI so the waiver should be a slam dunk! :)

but after extensive surveillance ncaa investigators have determined Martin is a slow driver and therefore his trip from Allentown is actually 15minutes longer and also has the potential for more traffic. Waiver denied!

From Jeff Goodman: "These are the numbers I have compiled (not exact) after polling coaches:"

Transfer waivers thus far:
Approved: 90
Pending: 131
Denied: 3

We better not be number 4

They've built in "plausible deniability" by denying three applications. Statement from Emmert will likely read:

"The vast majority (98%) of our members did a spectacular job in completing their waiver requests in a timely fashion, complete with all the required documentation and supporting materials justifying the requests. Unfortunately, as has been the case with all their actions since former Head Coach (and Hall of Fame member) James Calhoun refused to graciously accept sanctions we imposed on his program fifteen years ago, the University of Connecticut's request for a waiver was denied along with those from Alcorn State University, Tennessee Technological University, and the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Thank you. I did remember the vagueness and Hurley addressing it in June. Didn't know what to infer from that for real.
