It'd be nice to see Jamelle get up a recruiting head of steam like Q has at Syracuse. I was surprised recently to see Cincinnati ranked as one of the 15 most attractive college campuses in the US, so that shouldn't be an obstacle to drawing recruits.

I wish her the best, but it is a tough job to build a program from, more or less, nothing. To me the key is having some success. Which will lead to better success, which will build onward.

Quite challenging a situation indeed, though I think Jamelle and Cincy both have reasonable expectations. That makes things easier. She also happens to have a close friend and mentor with a lot of experience building a program from the ground up.

If Mel Thomas completes her Masters work at Florida Gulf Coast, I would urge JJ to give her a call to be an assistant at UCincy...she would be a tremendous asset in lots of ways including recruiting Ohio.
