Committed to Mizzou. Ahmed Hill will probably follow suit. Both these guys were man crushes on here not too long ago.

I still like Hill as well, but with Hamilton in tow our priorities most likely changed from recruiting standpoint.

I think we'd still have a decent shot if we got involved with him. Still not sure why we ever backed off. Maybe he will wait until the spring to decide, and UConn will pick up his recruitment.

I think we backed off because he's a pure shooting guard and we have plenty of those. Since we signed Hamilton, the staff has prioritized guys that can play PG.

Still have Calhoun, Hamilton can absolutely play SG and Ollie wouldn't be recruiting other point guards if he was 100% confident that Purvis can play the position full time.

I t does not matter how much we talk about players or what they tweet- yo really never know what you are going to wind up with. The year we got Bazz he was not on the radar because he reclassified and the following year Boat was a huge surprise- throw DD in that mix as well. If we get 1 of the 10 players we have been talking about that would not surprise me- 2-3 of them would be a first on this board.

Who knows- maybe KO is bring a new type of style to the table and we land more of these known 4-5 stars kids vs JC that found 4-5 star kids that did not have the national attention but all the skills of the more talked about players.

Even Hamilton was a surprise. Most thought his visit to UConn was just being nice and he was going to go to UTEP with his brother. Now his brother may have to sit out a year.

Could just be that most kids just aren't clear cut one position players unless they're a pg or c, but Ollie seems to like going after the hybrid type players that are versatile enough to ply multiple positions

But we all know that Mizzou takes guys who like to ride escalators

at 6'8 or taller? i doubt it
He's listed at 6' 6" and we all know that you can take an inch to an inch and a half off of what they're listed at. Not to mention even if he is 6'6" that's the right size for an NBA SG which I'm sure is what Dan Hurley wants to develop into.

Also add AD to that list of surprise players. He reclassified as well.

Daniel Hamilton
St. John Bosco (Bellflower, CA)
SF
6-8.5
178

Either way, at 6'8" or 6'6", the kid needs to bulk up before he gets into the NBA; and even more so if he's going to be a stretch 3. Everything I've seen on him points to the fact that he's a pure shooter. KO will help turn him into an all around player, but I think he would struggle to play SF at the next level. Mix that with the fact that he's a shooter and I think he'll play the 2 most of the year.

First, I think he's been measured recently at 6-8, at least.

Second, as we have now seen at least a dozen times, the fact that you're an appropriate height for an NBA position has ZERO impact on whether you can play that position at the college level. Let's put a 6-8 guy in the backcourt and have him check a bunch of 6-2 college shooting guards....
