With 364 D-1 schools, R2's rating in the mid to high 100's would make him a sought after player on most rosters in the country outside the 4-5 rosters loaded with 5 stars. If I recall correctly, we were linked to several players in this year's portal that were former 3 star prospects, rated more poorly than R2, but who developed so quickly in one or two years the P6 crowd all wanted them.

Maybe I'm an optimist relative to R2, and realistically the roster is loaded with experience and talent that may keep him on the bench, but Tom didn't say we're just seeking warm bodies to be practice players, nor did he exclude any possibility of the roster additions playing in their first year or two.
