Jacob Furphy shines!

Funphy makes me think of Andrew Gaze who played for Seton Hall in the Final Four. He was taller at 6'7" and some say is the greatest basketball player from Australia.

As an aside, I saw "Men At Work" at Agora in West Hartford or whatever its name was at the time. Entertaining show as I remember from so long ago.

Doesnt matter. Hes coming here and we will know pretty quickly what we have. Id caution everyone about any expectations high or low. We literally have no idea what this kid can be. He may redshirt, he could contribute or somewhere in between. No idea.
Whoa now. I’m expecting Luka 2.1. Is that not accurate?

.-.
I’m a big Marmite fan and had an opportunity to try Vegemite a couple of times. It’s like a slightly herbal Marmite. Basically less great than Marmite.
Have you tried that stuff? I made the mistake of smelling it first. Combination of feet and arse. The stuff is so salty. I guess they are used to it…but…I was not a fan.

Furphy, Mullins and Adams 6'5 6'6 and 6'5
Ball 6'3, Mahaney 6'1 Nowell 6'0

Hmmmm..........

Are the recruits interchangeable at the 3, and does that make us small?
YES IT DOES ! That's real small !

Tom Penders insists he can play right away. I'll take his judgement based on in-person scouting over others' feelz.

Similar to other top young Australian hoopsters, current and past, being picked to join Basketball Australia’s Centre of Excellence and the NBA Global Academy and Oz junior national team suggests Murphy has significant upside potential.
Wow. That article has to get UConn fans excited to see Furphy in the Flesh. Some quotes:
-"Meteoric rise",
-"excelled through the Australian Junior National system", -"high level competitor bringing the scoring, shooting ability and toughness required in the FIBA game",
-"young, skilled, high IQ player we can see contributing at multiple spots on the floor"
He has to be very good to make that roster of grown men. He was added to the team along with a 23 year old.
