Jacksonville State over FSU

Jacksonville State won 10 games last season (a loss to FSU)....not a bad FCS team.

The FSU game this year for FSU was one of drive killing penalties, inopportune fumbles, and the Jax State success of a no time on the clock completed Hail Mary pass.

What I will look for is how the coaches get the kids to recover and move on.

This year was always going to be a building year.

Can someone explain the relevance of local geography and marginal academic qualified players to the success of lower rung directionals in CFB. Some people here don't seem to grasp the concept and think just because JSU and Toledo can pull a surprise every now and then.

Well...as of today's AP rankings...FSU plays #6, #11, #12, #21, and #24....

I have no opinion on Jimbo as a recruiter. I just know they lost to a team from the Atlantic Sun. As for the rankings, check back at the end of the season cause right now these are opinions.

My opinion, is that FSU is in real danger of falling behind UCF as a program, that is saying something for a FL school with FSU's pedigree. It's akin to UConn basketball flaming out in the AAC but we at least won a national championship as a member of that conference before it dragged us down the drain.

Too bad Florida blocked you from the SEC like BC, Cuse, Miami, VT and Pitt all blocked us from the ACC. You'll never be the same.

Basketball...dunno what they have.

Ham's team was end of season AP #4 and regular season ACC Champ before the NCAA cancelled the season before the tournaments. Probably Hamilton's best team but they lost two lottery picks to the draft, Probably would have been a #1 seed.

Yes, UConn has a shot at Top 10 now and then. I could see Joe Moorhead getting us there. Let’s just hope we can hire a coach that takes us to that level.

Remember when the ACC scheduled Miami-FSU early in the season so the loser would have time to recover from the loss? Somebody was trying to tell me that both were still national powers. LOL. Miami did exactly what I expected they’d do when they moved to the ACC. FSU has really had a difficult time finding a coach since Jimbo went off to A&M.

You know...that brought to my mind the great Dynasty run that FSU had...14 straight years in the top 4.....13 of those years in the top 3.

While playiing two of the top 5 winningest teams of the 90's every year...Miami and Florida...add in four games with another top 5 winningest ream of the 90's..Nebraska..
