This was marketed for a long time (6-8 months) before release.... now just watched most of the episodes and I have been enjoying it.

Got through episodes 1-10.

Started off good. Thought they cleaned up some plot lines rather blah.

The entire premise for the first ten episodes has been done several times on TV shows and done in a one-hour episode.

It's got potential and I'll watch but it seems like it should be more.

I'm 3 or 4 episodes in and not all that intrigued. It seems like a less interesting version of 24.

I finished Season 1 and marginally enjoyed it. Still have goodwill for John Krasinski, but I wasn't as impressed with the show as i had hoped I'd be. It's well done, but as others have said, it doesn't seem particularly groundbreaking.

The last episode was a good action set piece. Not a bad season of TV, but I certainly wouldn't call it great.

I also didn't get the story line with the drone operator. I get they were trying to show the stress on those guys, but that whole arc never seemed to tie in with the Jack Ryan arc.

.-.

Yeah, that story could have been good but didn't really end up going anywhere other than showing the guilt that these drone pilots must grapple with.

It's an absolute outlyer in the plot so far. I figured it was a story line they would develop later on in the series. Only way it really makes sense to me.

I think you must be right. The actor that played the husband role in the casino scene is Lee Tergesen, whom you might remember as Tobias Beecher in Oz, among many other shows. It would seem strange to hire him for this role, only for it to be a cameo. Makes you feel that he'll make a reappearance at some point. Plus, we know that someone was pulling Suileman's strings and helping with financing and stuff, yet the show never really dealt with that aspect. I thought it was strange that Ryan & Greer split town for Russia without following that up. Maybe the two things are connected.

I'm pretty sure it was in there to soften the entire anti-muslim side of the series. They just didn't tie it in well.
