Threads are often deleted for responses following an OP, not the OP itself. Personally, I would prefer that questions regarding admin/mod decisions are made off the board, via PM, to avoid having to delete threads. No matter what administrative decision is made someone is going to disagree and that means a lengthy, contentious thread usually develops with no one is happy in the end.
Free speech, aka the First Amendment, means that the press can't be censored by the government. It doesn't mean that any yahoo with a keyboard can spout off whatever nonsense falls out of his head. That's why you can't yell Fire! in a crowded theater and how we can delete posts and ban people. Every moderated forum on the Internet reserves the right to delete posts the mods think are important to delete. Enough with the free speech stuff, yeesh.
Besides, you get all the speech you want since you post under 2 handles, one of which has only posted complaints about the admins. I guess I can see the benefits of this - if one handle gets banned, you can always use the other.
