Good list...
I believe Donyell Marshall and Chris Smith were top 100 recruits... Also, pretty sure Rip Hamilton should be on that list somewhere.

And, don't forget our best example of development in hilton armstrong. Pretty much under the radar recruiting wise. Probably a few others that weren't highly touted but got to the big show: Knight and Voskul come to mind. Don't remember a lot of hype with them but I could be wrong.
And, I would argue that Henefeld and Sheffer never made the NBA but had a HUGE impact while they were here.

I only went back to the 1998 class.

I think one thing caw's list clearly shows is that Calhoun has had a real talent for taking good, not great recruits and making them better. Not so sure he has had quite as much success with the real blue chippers...though the number of top 10 recruits has been modest. Even Top 25 has been relatively small for a program with 3 National titles in 15 years. It sort of suggests that Calhoun is very good at identifying under-rated talent and developin gthose guys to their full potential, though arguably not as good at taking "gems" and getting the most out of them...I think Gay and Drummond were at best underachievers at UCONN, though Gay has been a good NBA player. Obviously the jury is out on Drummond at this point. I think this is also why UCONN has rarely had 1-and-dones or even 2-year guys. They aren't the kind of guys Calhoun goes after nor are they kind he really has much success coaching. Just letting a guy go out and "do his thing" has not been the hallmark of Connecticut Basketball during the Calhoun era.
