Geez, Johnny Maestro could sing. FYI, this song was written for and first recorded by the Fifth Dimension.


Agree with you about Johnny Maestro. Johnny was originally the lead singer of the Crests, one of the first interracial groups. They had several big hits including Sixteen Candles and Step by Step. I remember on one the PBS Doo Wop specials Johnny sang both 16 Candles from the Crests and Worst that could Happen from the Brooklyn Bridge. He died in 2010 at age 70.
