It's really about that time: Start of 22-23 Season

Very interesting. I kinda think Baylor is a bit underrated. I think their guard play is a bit of a worry even though I actually like van Gytenbek. But I think they can be a top 10 team for sure.

I can't tell if Baylor is being underrated or overrated. I think their starting 5 will be very talented offensively. After that, not sure what they have on the bench who can come in and not have a drop off. They don't have much size (6'3 and above) in the post; so, that could be their Achilles' heel against the bigger teams they face.

Was thinking the same, especially during conference play against Iowa State and Texas' height in the post.

Quick thoughts:

As a UConn fan seeing them out of the top 5 is weird but albeit reasonable.
Banghart's going to hate this list. Jk.
I was surprised Nebraska was on the list.
How come no one's atleast mentioning UNLV.

This isn't surprising to me based on what I watched last season. They beat Michigan, Indiana, and Creighton last season. Two out those three are also on this list.

Markowski has stabilized their post position and Mendelson is supposed to be pretty good too. The transfer they picked up from South Dakota will also help spell Markowski a bit to avoid foul trouble.

Really wish we could see that Depaul vs Texas exhibition . Sonya morris should be interesting to watch in this one !
It would be Morrow vs Moore for me. Those two going at it in the paint..........popcorn time!

Well, the exhibition will be televised on Longhorn Network. For those who don't have LHN, I've heard there are streaming services you can subscribe to on a trial basis that will allow you to watch some of ESPN's family of channels.

Sweet chin music , id actually be excited to see Coach Lawson with a triumph winning season in year 3. Im hoping she can become the next legendary coach in the Womens game. She's put in so much time and effort to help the game grow. How can you not root for her ?

@LoTrader

* imma have to get one of those Hoodies :eek:

Crazies are going to fall in love with Taya Corosdale. As Taya stated in the interview, she works hard, gives her all, and is incredibly versatile. Taya does so many things well. When you look in the box score at end of game, always surprised to see her rebounds, blocks, assists. At 6'3" when Taya's 3-ball is on, Taya becomes a real challenge for the defense. I will measure Coach Kara on how much the offense goes through Taya, as she is an incredible/reliable passer with great court vision.

Call me crazy, but State is a top 5 team to me (top 5 in the country) My only concern is depth at the PG position. Coach Moore seems like a fun coach to play for.
