In the BE statement the phase is the BB schools WITHDRAW for the BE conference. Now the lawyers will have a field day on distributing the BE assets.

Big East spokesperson John Paquette told ESPN.com the seven schools will leave on June 30, 2015, per conference bylaws

This is the smart play by the football schools.

Force them to negotiate their way out if they want out sooner...

...or if you're concerned about the football schools coming in, which you should be, give them some incentive to join the conference (i.e. NCAA credits).

Supposedly this was always expected from the time the BE expanded to 16 post ACC raid #1 (only difference being the thought was that the football schools would be the departing parties) so a distribution plan supposedly has been in place as long as each side remained through 6/30/10.

Unless someone decides that they are entitled to more than what was agreed upon, this should be a smooth and easy process.
