It's like a Mirage

You believe with your whole heart & mind something exists, but it's really not there. That kinda sums up the season to date. Our 11 in a row last yr after going 9-9 fooled scouts, coaches, and fans. We expected a chance at a Big East title, and high seed for the tourney. We have come up miles short on those goals. We have lost 9 of 12 and the three we won were against a Pope-less Hall, a lucky shot vs a Malik- less Nova, and Depaul. You feel we are good, believe Drummond can score 50 on lobs, and really it's a Mirage. Makes for a boring March- coming up.

Even with how horribly the team is playing, we keep having the brief periods of optimism, like Boat returning, looking good vs. Cuse both game, etc. I bet we come out and look great vs. Pitt with Calhoun at the helm and get excited all over again. Unfortunately, we will likely end up being let down in the long run.

I have a hard time believing Calhoun will be ready for the Pitt game five days after back surgery.

If I'm not mistaken, JC came back to XL after his BEast suspension. Crowd support and energy were Great. Team played flat and lost.
