Isuneh Brady vs. Audi Crooks video

Every video I’ve seen of Ice makes me so excited for next season! I think with her and Ayanna it really gives us so many options next season in the post. The lineups we will be able to throw on the floor are going to be insane.
 
Where is Audi going? I'm sure she will be really solid for whoever she plays for. Obviously some weight loss is essential if she wants to be elite.

Ice - what can you say? So impressive. Can face the basket, shoot the 3, play back to the basket, has moves going both left and right, and is athletic. Reminds me of A'ja Wilson, and not just because she's a lefty...

Audi reminds me of Danielle Adams (the way she keeps the ball high) and/or Kaili McLaren (the way she passes). I could see her making an impact somewhere in the college game, though I haven’t seen enough to say how or where.

.....or you can just call her "champ". :D Or Queen Midas.........especially at the Olympics and including her younger days during FIBA tournaments. Because EVERYTHING she touched................. ;)

Much much better shooting range and outside shot….not even close
 
Isuneh never guarded Audi. She should have. The girl who was guarding her wasn't strong enough. Audi will need to lose weight to be effective in college and the pros. She does have skills.

I just watched the video again and it looks like almost all of Audi's offense came when Isuneh wasn't even on the floor.

Wilson was the first name that came to mind too from these clips, mostly the way she faces up at the high elbow and attacks the basket or shoots from midrange.
 
Impressive motor for a gal her size, but my crystal ball reveals many 5 on 4’s the other way.
But things can/may change.

The A'ja Wilson comparison is one I found myself making as well. Good mobility, quick spins to the hoop, and just a very quick rising jump shot. A little shorter and I suspect not as much of a vertical leaper or shot blocker, but with enough similar traits to be very exciting.

Interesting! None of Ice's highlights are against Audi as well. In the video AgStatesman submitted Audi IS playing against Ice. I noticed Ice did not guard Audi in this video. Does Ice have a defensive deficiency? No one in this video stopped Audi, no one. She is the real deal, not hype. Surely you are not practicing "body shaming?" :eek::oops:

Are we even watching the same video? Ice splashed multiple shots in Audi's face, and did a good up and under move on her. Almost all of Audi's highlights were when Ice wasn't even on the floor.

I was referencing the fact Brady was not guarding Audi. Brady could not score inside on Audi or drive on her.

I chose the word "hyped" because Audi gets a lot of coverage on YouTube. She has more highlight tapes than Ice, and there are several YouTubers who have done "reaction videos" on her highlights. That's not her fault at all though, but she is definitely hyped up. I'm not body shaming anyone.

Unless Brady blocks Audi or vice versa, a highlight tape isn't going to show any defensive highlights. I bet if Audi scored on Brady they would put it in the video. She did a majority of her scoring when Brady wasn't in the game. I bet they neutralized each other's low post game for the most part. Brady has the superior face up game, so she featured that.

True..a drive to the right, stop and reverse step back to the left hand for the layup, 2 times, and multiple jumpers from the elbows, tht girl has some serious moves.

Scott, I saw the same clips you did, with Brady scoring at least 6-7 baskets when guarded by Audi: short and medium jumpers, a couple spin-and-under scores. Looked to me that Audi, recognizing Brady's quickness, didn't want to attempt to close out those jumpers.
On the other end, I didn't see any occasion when Brady was guarding Audi.
 
The one thing that has bothered me are the comments, "She needs to lose weight to be effective at the next level." To me, that is body shaming. Some people just have bigger body types, just like some people have skinnier frames. I have known people who do have larger body types who try all they can (save from getting an eating disorder) to lose weight and they just can't. It's just the body they were born with.

The same goes for people who say, "She needs to gain muscle to be effective at the next level." No one except the athlete and the coach knows how much effort the athlete is putting in. We should just stop assuming we know what is best for the athlete. You can be in great shape and still have a larger body type - not all of us are blessed with great genetics to have a six-pack or a slimmed down body.

Perhaps a better verbiage is, "The athlete needs to get in better shape to compete because you can see her laboring up and down the court." It has nothing to do with their weight or body type and all about how tired they get towards the end of the game.

However, I don't even know if that's the best verbiage to use.
