Isaiah Whaley is a steely eyed Hilton unit

Should have stuck with "Steely-eyed missile man". That works too.

I always liked him. However, this year he is amazing. Comes off the bench and contributes immediately. He always looks quiet on the bench.

Got what we needed from the front court. Bottom line they got it done on D and the boards got a few put backs not a lot of dumb fouls and they were blocking shots. We get that every night and the rest of the year looks damn good even sans Akok.

Loved this play.

You can smell the confidence building in all these guys. Amazing what some winning does. This doesn’t happen without the other 2 big Ws.

There were also people wondering why Hurley took Adams. These kids are developing under this coaching staff. Its great to see.
Hurley knows what he's doing. He's a carpenter. Jesus would be proud.

dozens of 'yarders wanted Hurley to run Whaley off last summer
Yup, I WAS one. Since January, he doesn't resemble the player he was earlier. Just delighted with his heart, his effort, and his focus on playing to his strengths. A real grit player who will do the dirty work to win. He is UConn. Congratulations to the coaching staff also.

It was way more than dozens, and to be fair Hurley himself did too. But Whaley chose to come back and work hard which is what you want to see
