Isaiah Briscoe Will Cut His List Soon

PeeCeee has emerged from the DEPTHS but normally it will take some doing to get a highly ranked player away from Ville and Storrs. Yes I know Pascal and Dunn and the Philly head case. Sometimes we preferred others because we valued them more--Calhoun and Brimah.
 
So how does it work to be a USA coach? Seems lie a great way to unite with a kid and get him to your school where otherwise the kid wouldn't give you the time of day.

Compared to what is said about UConn, on PC's board, this is mild.
BTW, FriarJ, I thought I read somewhere that PC is going overseas to play 4-6 games. If so, and Cooley is coaching on team USA, isn't he spreading himself a bit thin this summer.
 
Adams over Briscoe from video and just a hunch……one a fast, athletic kid who can play the point due to the fact he is fast and has a solid handle…….the other a bit more like 3 in a 2's body and a bit slower which lends me to thnk he won't be able to guard 2's, solid player on O and creative but not the overall type of athlete we could use to play 1/2……..just my thoughts - ADAMS

You may be underselling Isaiah Briscoe because he is no doubt on of the most skilled guards in the class and while not nearly the athlete Jalen is, he has gotten in much better shape than last year and a capable athlete
 
I've been sold on Briscoe for sometime. Adams seems to be the Yard's favorite, but for some reason Briscoe is more appealing to me. However, either one is fine with me. I wonder if Bazz is talking to Jalen for us.

Yes, they are going to Italy this summer and yes, he is going to be very busy.

In regards to how it works, Cooley called Coach K and asked how he can get involved with USA basketball and he told him to volunteer as a floor coach during tryouts, which he did last year. Billy D. was the coach of the team last year. This year Donovan called him and Sean Miller and asked them to be his assistant coaches on his bench. I think it is helpful in establishing relationships with players you have already been recruiting. They get to see your style etc... Could be a blessing or a curse I guess.

Hope you are right Friar J I really do, I like this kid and feel he could be a star here, or anywhere he chooses for that matter…………..love his overall game, demeanor on the court (he just plays, no showmanship)……perfect Husky
