Cam is absolutely ready to be a 1000 yard rusher, but he doesn’t have to be. I think the only chance he is one is if he runs for 6.5 ypc or better, because he has 3 guys to share the rock with

Not a big fan of RB committee in all cases. Plenty of backs need to get into a rhythm and actually get better with more rather than less carries. The artificial switching often can take away momentum. I’d much prefer a feature back with some occasional relief or change of pace insertions.

Seemed to work in 2024

hoping for both things to be true:
  • Cam has a breakout year and becomes the first UConn skill position draft prospect in a while (at least in my memory; i don't remember seeing anyone drafted from here recently except linemen)
  • Victor rises out of the ashes like a phoenix and proves himself the true number 2.
thankful for Mel and his return/rushing talents, but I am biased toward Victor given his long road back to health & CT local status.

Do I think he can do it? Yes. And I'll be happy for him.
Do I think him doing it is critical for team success? Nope. If everyone stays healthy there's a good chance he doesn't get to 1000 yards and that doesn't worry me.

yeah... def a nice-to-have, but by no means a priority to alter the game plan for his sake.
Hopefully he can break out a ton of long rushes, to get his goal while sharing the touches "load".
For his sake, it's probably better to not be the feature guy. you're always one play away from the career-ender.

My view in 2025 is if you tell a kid you are limiting his carries and therefore his hits, you are prolonging their career for the NFL.
