Will the Big East schools agree to the buyout increase?

OR:
Will Louisville announce it's leaving for the Big-XII & will they drag anyone else with them?
Will Notre Dame be sent packing?
Will the CYO's say bye-bye?

OR:
Will there be another continuence issued?

Armageddon happened when the BE failed to lock in members after raid # 1.

I really want BOTH Texas schools, It make no sense to invite one without the other. Villanova has to get over its juvenile opinions on Temple though. They haven't learned any lesson from the actions this week of Gene DeFillipo in Boston? I' wouldn't mind the football conference, adding all the aforementioned schools & elevating Nova, giving them time to grow their onfield product. Think Creatively 'Nova. Now is not the time to be devisive. It's way past time to have a united front to keep the ship from sinking.

I agree. Accept Texas and Florida as must have states with 2 teams each. Boise for the BCS. The 2 service academies for national exposure.

There is no other rival for the 6th BCS slot in that scenario. The Temple and Nova decison can be made after WVU leaves and ECU if Lousville gets an offer.

Worst case it's upgrade Nova in a couple years and add ECU for 14 FB teams and 20 basketball.

It keeps the BCS somewhat happy as the BE then operates as playoff of sorts with 14 Football and ND competing for 1 slot.

Interesting. Anybody who wants to take Temple in lieu of SMU or Houston is smoking crack. SMU and Houston will be Top 40 programs almost every year if in a BCS conference. They bring a lot to the long term evolution of the conference.

Something was posted in the WV board that 4 of the 6 football schools were blocking Boise St and UCONN was one of them. I really hope that is not the case.

I know things are fluid as ever with WVU, Louisville, and Cincy getting invites anytme. But IF no one gets invites for a while, Boise St, Houston, SMU, AFA, Navy, and Temple/UCF may work. With the AQ being locked until 2015, we still have a window. Admittedly its a long shot but I get the sense that we are running out of plays.

Why the two tiered exit fee? I guess it's safe to assume the BB onliest are going nowhere.

The report is not that they are blocking but that there are "concerns" about Boise being in the middle of nowhere and that what that really means is they are concerened about the NCAA violations. That's not the same thing as blocking and I think they will come around if it comes to that.

The NCAA violations situation is a serious one, but not because I think Boise did anything serious. Auburn can be giving bags of cash to players and their families, and running the whole operation through a casino, and they get exonerated. Boise has women's tennis recruits spend a weekend on the couch of a player, and that is a major violation.

No way Uconn is blocking anyone!!
They would never act like that.

Blocking for legit concerns is one thing. Blocking because you are fraidy cats is another.

4 of 6 football oppose Boise?

That doesn't make sense unless its 4 of 6 football object to the 300% of revenue exit penalty as a condition to Boise joining.

we don't want Boise invading our turf, all 2,600 miles from Hartford to Boise is ours!

I'm shocked, SHOCKED to hear you misrepresent the Boise St tennis team violations to prove your point.

They're bad. Really bad.

I'm not taking a whole lot posted on the WVU board as gospel. Have you read the their TOS board lately (like over the past 2+ weeks). Everyday there are about 60 threads saying that "tomorrow" they will get their invite to the SEC, B12, or a few even saying the ACC. There are more connections to "inside sources" on that board than anywhere else. Wanna have fun. Create a twitter name with "EERS" in it, and tweet about some news you got from an inside source that WVU is #14 to the SEC. It will go viral in about 10 minutes. Not saying WVU isn't #14 to the SEC, in fact, I hope they get exactly what they want, but their board has been off the charts these past few weeks. Pure entertainment.

Exit fees mean nothing. If the ACC invites UConn we will figure out a way to pay the fee.

Please not Houston. I've been convinced that UCF is worthy. So UCF, SMU, Tulane and Boise. I think SMU in a BCS conference could bet some of its old mojo back.

What is your beef with Houston? They have history. They've unveiled architect's renderings of their new facilities. Thy're in the #4 television market in the country. What's not to like?

It's my academic snobbery. One new school with a terrible academic reputation (Boise) is enough. I feel the same way about Memphis. I'd prefer Rice, but they don't move the needle for AQ status.
