Cuse by far

MS was in Germany and early in the season a lot of excuses for why MS did not play there best.

Cuse game was the last meeting between these two schools if they weren't ready for this then bowhine is as bad a coach as I thought.

Some people said that first win was a fluke but after ND win and now this KO definitely has

TEN TOES IN!!!!!!

I take this one. MSU was huge, so was ND, but this was on national television with a good crowd chanting UConn against an old rival. We're in February with nothin' but pride to play for and these kids are still playing their hearts out. That tells me something.
I'm leaning toward MSU, big stage, with a then unproven team, but you make a good point. KO should be national COY.

Jim Larranga will be NCOY. And that makes sense. I'm okay with that.

If UConn finishes 22-8 (12-6) to 20-10 (10-8), Ollie should win BE POY. He won't, but he should.

Let's go for 24-6 (14-4). That'd probably win us regular season the BE championship. Everyone else could **** themselves then.

Yeah, I agree. Still KO's done a good job. I also agree regarding BE COY. There is a lot of bad blood toward UConn among BE coaches. Still, how can you (the other BE coaches) not like Ollie? Great job done by a great guy.

This win is bigger. The MSU win loses some points (it's a great win, an awesome win, don't get me wrong) because Izzo teams are known for a WTF loss or two early on. This game where they kicked the #6 teams ass on national television. A clean win, nothing lucky about it. Our rook outcoached their HOFer.

Agreed entirely. If they get to 12-6 or better, I think he's a shoe-in, though, because who else could you pick? Jamie Dixon?

Buzz Williams is the other likely candidate as they were supposed to take a step back after losing Crowder and DJO.

MSU, it was on a much bigger stage, very early in the season when no one knew where the program was or even if KO was going to be the coach next year. In Germany, on a base against the 3rd, I think, ranked team.

MSU is the signature win of the season. This win was a close second, let's hope we finish strong. Can you imagine Uconn winning the BE regular season?

I Dream About It Every Night....................... After I'm Done Dreaming About Kate Upton :D

This was the biggest win of the year because it's the last game of the rivalry, the home crowd, and the marquee TV spot. MSU was probably a "better" win statistically because of the neutral court and they may even be a better team. Still, this one will be the win people think of looking back on this year.

Yep it would immediately be followed with a retroactive NCAA rule change, disallowing former NBAers, whose name has five letters and ends in vowel from coaching in New England, south of the Mass border.

i don't think they would choose Buzz, wasn't he suspended for the game we played against them?

This win was bigger. We were short handed, and played the #6 team heads up or better for a full 40 minutes. MSU was ranked higher, but based strictly on expectations, as they hadn't played a real game yet. Factor in that it was the last game of the Big East's best rivalry, the largest TV audience to see us this year (ESPN prime time), and the fact that it even made the XL Center rowdy and loud.

I'd actually put the ND game ahead of MSU, but that's probably my personal bias against all things Golden Dome related showing through.

I did not read the whole thread- but this is the biggest win since our last championship.

This was the biggest win but MSU close second and ND distant third because they are irrelevant other than their home court runs.

Cuse is the major rival for UConn in the BE! It was a statement to the ACC and the NCAA. MS was early in the season and most fans don't give as much credence to early losses. People are correct that MS set the tone and was significant in the KO contract. But this win solidifies KO's season and will get the bigger recruiting bounce!
