The Mercury posted a video on X that I can’t post for some reason. They’re all thanking her and basically saying goodbye. If someone can post it, it’s worth watching.

If this is the end, so be it. Not too shabby going out while you are still recognized as the GOAT. Too many great athletes have played 1 or 2 seasons too many. What's next for DT? Social Security?

Everyone was there last night.

I hope they go deep into the playoffs, but I don't see that happening. I fear, like Sue, she'll have to go out on a loss.

I was sad when Sue retired, but for me this is like a punch in the gut, She's been my favorite since she stepped foot in Storrs.
She's a legend.

Hope she doesn't retire. She's still good.
Better to go out when you are. I think it's hard for fans to accept. Maybe she'd like to spend time with her family after devoting basically her whole life to basketball. Yes, she loves it, will always love it, but now is the time to make those real memories with the wife and kids.

It is especially hard not to feel the highest level of gratitude when you see two lives reflected in the photos intertwined over so many years for the love and respect between them of the game of womens basketball.
