I don't follow the recruits as intensely as some of you...maybe this is a repeat?

The Springfield Republican mentions in an article today that UConn has offered
6'9" junior from MacDuffie School in western Ma. Omari Spellman.

Know anything about him?

BTW: They played on Wednesday and beat Redemption Christian Academy 66-59.
In the stands was one John Calipari...really! Was he there recruiting Spellman?
Probably not. His son Brad is on MacDuffie and apparently played pretty well in his first game
after an ACL tear 10 months ago.

BTW#2: also on the team is 6'10" senior Jordy Tshimanga.

Spellman was at UConn's First Night and he is one of the top recruits in the country. ESPN ranks him #18, and he is the top recruit from Ohio. Kentucky has offered him, and he really likes Kentucky. Otherwise, Ohio State is strong with him.

Upstate: appreciate that. My bad... maybe Calipari was multi-tasking....watching son and recruiting.
