Saw this tweet today.....After watching a few times, I noticed a number (#28) not listed on the roster. TJ Gardner (#42) beats Vickers (#24) in the video. In the background left to right is Newsome (#22), ???? (#28), Mensah (#34), Thompson (#48), and Hopkins (#11).

Anyone have an idea who #28 is????

1 or 2 walk on RBs left the team between Aug 1 when the picture was taken and today's roster postings

On the subject of RB depth, I think Skanes has enough wiggle and speed to take some handoffs in the backfield if necessary. Watching his high school video when he was a QB he certainly ran like a RB.

Could it be that someone wore a different jersey one practice - because of a "wardrobe malfunction?"

I did get a chuckle out of one of the reporters commenting on how Vickers and Hopkins may make the 2-deep as RS freshmen when there are only 5 RBs on the team.

As far as emergency RBs, I could see Eddie Hahn in that role and don't forget that Brice McAllister came in as a RB.

Good point about McAllister. He was a pretty good running back coming out of high school; #11 recruit out of CT and #127RB in the country per Rivals. Would be interesting to see if he ever got moved back to that position or if he's better served in the 3-3-5 defense...

I think his dad was pretty upset he wasn't playing running back. Wouldn't mind him getting some 2 way reps.
