I think it would be cool to have a ring ceremony when we play Columbia and have Kemba, Donnell, Chuck and assuming Coombs Mcdaniel could make it. Anyone know if they already got their rings already. Kind of like they do for the defending NBA champions put up the banner on the night of the season opener

ok never mind I just read that ESPN article by Andy Katz that said that they get their rings at a dinner ceremony.

tonight...they got them tonight!

Pictures of the ring would be nice. Here's a ring from 2004:

Also have to wonder if they made rings out of gold. I know they stopped making gold rings for football champions in the mid 2000s.

Gold at $1700/ounce
That's not why football teams stopped making gold rings. It was so students can't sell them for their gold content.

That 2011 ring is super-gaudy.

Rings are awesome. I wish I could somehow get my hands on a replica or something..

Need to see a photo with Calhoun flashing all three rings for the camera with a big ol' grin!

If there is enough a demand, it can be done. Look on ebay and you'll see replicas of rings made.

Does anyone know if these rings were made of actual gold?

The only proof I can find that basketball championship rings are still made of gold is on Wikipedia.

Wish they did a raffle like the Sox did for their rings. Make one extra...10 bucks to enter. Extra money goes to charity or something. I just don't get how the players can get rings why they are still amateurs, it seems like gift giving. Why is this within the rules and other things are not? Do they have to wait until they are finished with school to have them?

Nice try, Good Ole Tom. You're not getting your hands on these rings.
You never know. :D I have yet to see a UConn ring ever be sold, but have seen a 1999 pendant be sold. Somehow, the 1999 team got pendants, too.

Now I know why you're selling the 1924 Fob.

lol...a recent basketball championship item would be priced way higher than 400. I wrote I am considering selling it. Nothing is said and done.
