Is there a reason why we don’t play games in Boston?

With Frank Martin at UMass I’d love to see this series start back up again. Need more CBB regional rivalries, and an early season road game regardless of opponent can pay dividends down the road.

Agree and with Archie Miller at URI both these teams will get better. Throw them on the schedule or create a New England tourney?

I like the idea of this as an early December game. Maybe do Boston one year, Mohegan the next, then Worcester, Bridgeport etc. Could be fun. Makes too much sense tho so it wont happen

Just prior the The Big East, Boston Garden hosted the Colonial Classic over two days. Holy Cross, UMass, BC UConn and PC had participated in four team tourneys.

umass, Harvard, northeastern … the only downside is that we’d have to completely smack them around without breaking a sweat.

UCONN owns New England. BC is an also ran in the ACC. No one else is on the radar. Why in the world, after BC vetoed UCONN to the ACC, would we give any publicity to BC????
We’d never help BC. That’s a nonstarter. But we could take over their city regularly.

This is peak boneyarding. Almost every day there is a thread about our weak home schedule at Gampel and XL.

And now it seems a solution would be to give away a marquee matchup home game (because it would have to be a marquee matchup to even start making sense on filling TD Garden) and give up our home court advantage for that.

I thought people wanted an upgrade to our schedule
Why couldn't it both?

We had six cupcakes in the 21-22 season.

Replace one of those cupcakes with a top-150ish regional team (Vermont, URI, UMass, Yale, Harvard, etc) and that small step would make a lot of people happy while improving the schedule a little bit.

We get 7 to 8000 tops in the door on campus and in XL for any of those matchups. We won't do better at TD Garden for any of those matchups. Thus it is not economically feasible.

UConn should simply play a home game in the driveway of the home of each individual Boneyard member

The possibilities are endless. For example. We could play URI on Block Island. How about a homestand at the Martha's Vineyard YMCA?
Can you imagine the fun people would have staying at the YMCA?
