Is Roscoe going to follow Alex?

Kim English won't be there, so I can't imagine being friends with him will mean anything.

Has anyone seen a list of where Roscoe may be looking? I wonder if he will look at Maryland since he's from that area. Also, I know he looked at Georgetown in high school but can he transfer there since they're in the big east?

No.

From what I understand, Roscoe's major is Modern Dance, so his transfer options are somewhat limited.

Why on earth is roscoe leaving?

Alex is leaving because he's a baby and blames the coaching staff for his lack of aggressiveness, butter fingers, and inability to make a layup.

But why roscoe? Makes no sense to me

Roscoe is leaving because he blames the coaching staff for his inability to read the time left on the game clock.

No, really, it's because he thinks he can play the 3 effectively and it can be inferred that Calhoun disagrees since he wants him at the 4.

We really don't know for sure why Roscoe is leaving other than there is the opportunity to so and still play next year. He knows he has no future at the 4 or he may simply not like being at Uconn.

Roscoe can't play Division I basketball anywhere else but UConn next season. He will have to sit out a year. Only Oriakhi from UConn can play next year as the NCAA grants that to seniors to be who are leaving a school who will be ineligible for post season play.

He can apply for an exception though based on UConn's ban. Not sure how likely it is to get granted.

Probably very likely, that way the NCAA can proclaim "see, we aren't punishing the current student-athletes like UConn alleges."

Ricky havent I said this many times why Roscoe chose to inevitably leave when he had all the playing time he could ever want this year and next.
He has felt disrespected by Calhoun and treated as if he was some garbage bench player instead of the warrior that he is. He was recruited to play the 3 and wants to play the 3 yet Calhoun not only benched him for most of this year for an abysmal and overrated DeAndre Daniels, but Roscoe was forced to play the 4 when he clearly is suited to play the 3.Who can blame Scoe for leaving with the way he was treated.

Roscoe leaving hurts the most and Calhoun needs to start letting players play their games and stop switching guys in and out every 2 minutes. If we are re-instated for this year, Calhoun should go hard after Bradley Hayes and either Devonta Pollard or Amile Jefferson aka Roscoe Smith 2.0. We can be pretty dangerous if we get re-instated by Mark Emmert in a couple weekes and get Hayes and either Pollard or Amile Jefferson on this team.

You've defended Roscoe all year and got some vindication when he played great down the stretch. There's no doubt that losing Roscoe hurts, but it hurts because Roscoe was great as an undersized 4 man who can step out and hit an occassional jumper. Scoe has a looong way to go before he can play the 3 successfully.

There were two things that were consistently true throughout Roscoe's brief tenure at Uconn: 1) he struggled with knowing how much time is left on the clock, and 2) if he had the ball in the open court where he was forced to put the ball on the floor, he was going to commit a charge.

This is because, as much as I like Roscoe, he can't dribble. He can defend the 3 spot, he can make an occassional outside shot, but he can't dribble. And you need to be able to dribble to play the 3.

Roscoe may think he is a three, he may even reach the point where he is a good one. He isn't and wasn't a three this year. His skill set is not good enough to play the three.

He was a four on a NC team and played the best ball of his sophomore year at the four.
