She certainly is out-performing her draft selection number. Nice to see Kia finally make her sophomore leap.

The rookies overall are having a terrific season in the WNBA. Possibly an even bigger steal than Nurse was Mercedes Russel. Drafted 23rd by the New York Liberty, she was waived and ultimately signed by the Seattle Storm. She's becoming a solid role player for them in the mold of a Ramu Takashki, who's taking the year off to focus on her Japan National Team commitments.

Only watched UConn occasionally so didn’t understand all the noise about Kia.

Pretty outstanding rookie class. 5 players averaging double figures, including Wilson at 20.8 ppg and Mitchell at 16.7 ppg. Outside of the top 5, you have Williams, Vivians, Canada, Stevens and Hines Allen all making contributions as well.

By comparison look at the number of rookies averaging double figures in previous years:
2018-5
2017-2
2016-3
2015-1
2014-4
2013-2
2012-4
2011-3
2010-2
2009-3
2008-3

People were saying for some time that the 2018 draft will be great and it is with so many players playing major roles for their teams. 2019 got the chance to be an even better draft

The Administrator on this board assigned it to me. I live on the west coast and watch Pac 12 Net.

JS strikes again. Don't worry that's a good thing. :D

Some on the BY posted a list of the players available, which I can't find. But here's a link to a mock draft: 2019 WNBA Mock Draft - WNBA - DraftSite.com

A lot can change between now and then; I doubt Ionescu will forgo her senior year, dunno if Magbegor will play in the W. But it's clear that there will be quality players available well into the second round.

With Mo practicing again I don't see Vegas taking another PG. They need another forward to help take the pressure off of A'ja.

If Mariya Moore is picked as high as 14th this is not a deep draft. L’ville benefited by her transferring. They were better defensively by far and on offense too! Gave Jasmine Jones a chance to play. Mariya didn’t fit chemistry wise.
