It’s Orono, Maine in the winter time…nothing else to do. My lifelong friend went there in the early 80’s and I visited a couple of times. There was less to do there back then, than at UConn, that’s for sure.
I would say the campuses are similar. Both in the middle of nowhere. The biggest sport on campus is hockey. Every home game sells out. At UConn hockey is behind men and women’s basketball. UConn students show little interest in the hockey team.

UConn is much less in the middle of nowhere these days and the winters are much easier to take. No comparison there. Like I said, at UConn we have way more to choose from during the winter. I’ll stand by that.

I would agree winters are much less severe. But again no one is going to UConn for the nightlife. Just ask Ray Allen.

He hasn’t been there in the last 10 years I’d bet, but we can agree to disagree.
