Anyone know for sure? I know they've been emailing students about Gameday and wearing white.

Not sure, but I'll be treating it like one. And I'd imagine all the students will be in white, so I would just wear white. Hoping everybody does.

Wouldn't that make it "official"
Well, they could be saying to just the students to wear white to the gameday show, considering it will be mostly students in there anyways.

It is an OFFICIAL white-out...for the festivities prior to the game. Not sure what the "official" position is for the game itself.

No, we have the worst dressed fans in college basketball, you will see your assortment of pink, red, green, purple, orange, black outfits throughout Gampel (except the student section). The only way to possibly have a white-out would be to put a white t-shirt on every seat, which I doubt would ever happen.

The Co-op is selling (Husky) blue game-day shirts...

just as long as nobody wears those god awful orange uconn shirts

I keep seeing posts about this, but I have no idea what you all are talking about. What are these fabled orange UConn shirts? Why were they even created? Does anyone have a picture of these travesties?

The student section wore them during the Notre Dame game a few weeks ago.

Ah. I see they are hideous creations of Nike. This was the same day the team wore those nike elite jerseys, correct? I guess they wanted to dress the student section in like fashion.

During the game the announcers called them orange. They were clearly red on my TV though, and I've seen them in person and they're read. I'm not a fan of them, but I don't understand all the hype.

The email is not 100 percent clear white for the game as well as the morning show but I'd go w/white to game if I was going

No they're definitely orange. Seen em in person up close too.

Personally I think they're more red, but I won't deny that they definitely have an orangey tinge. Here's a crappy cellphone pic I just took with the very definition of red and orange for comparison: a Solo cup and an orange.

You could be like the fans that I complain about and wear yellow...

If the school wants to have a white out then they should go all out to actually make it work. Guaranteed half the people going to the game have no idea this is going on and some people wont even bother with it at all. I think they should do what the Miami Heat does during the playoff games. They provide white shirts for everyone. That looks pretty cool with everyone wearing plain white t-shirts in the stands. How much could it possibly cost to get 10,000 plain white t's made up? Make them all at least XXL to fit over everyones existing clothing so there is no excuse that people would have to change. Maybe get some company to sponsor it and stick their logo on the BACK. We dont do things like this that often and Saturday night would have been the perfect opportunity.

Cuse is undefeated this year on opponents' "White Out Nights". Good call. ;)

if we screw this up I am going to be shocked. wear friggin white it's not a difficult concept.
