Yes I do believe in Hurley but it’s a fair question. This lack of offense is unacceptable. Still has a lot of season to get it together and this game as well. Was Diggins recruited to sit on the bench btw.
 
What aboutThe Lack of offensively talented players? Without sanogo we’re lucky to get 20 pts combined from AJ, Akok and Whaley. Polley’s shot is off tonight (yet again). Cole, Gaff, Hawk and Martin are a combined 4/17.

He does need to be forced by the AD to learn more about offense. Idk how that happens but it must. This half court offense is unacceptable. The Xs and Os themselves are an embarassment. A JV coach in the CIAC could draw up better plays.

I get having rock fight games they happen but this is a continuous trend with no improvement even, I’m talking constant turnovers not just the shooting, Ivy League teams run better offense.
 
He isn’t great at coaching, but at least he brings in those top 25 classes baby!

They are certainly not consistent offensively, but this cringeworthy Xs And Os is resulting in crappy shots as well.

Need to play fast. Let them run. No excuses any more.
 
He is but he has to improve or get an assistant to get a capable half court offense

wow- I'm a football guy, but how is is UConn ranked? They suck.
 
Why isnt Murray, in particular, drawing up some plays for Hurley to run if he’s such a prodigy? Does Hurley only let the assistants recruit? They should be compelled to speak up and tell Hurley he needs to make some adjustments.

AD needs to sit the staff down and set some expectations like this. Idk if that's kosher in high major D1 but it needs to happen.

This is the first time I’m questioning whether he’s the right guy for the job. So far, he’s shown a great ability to recruit. His in-game coaching and preparation are suspect, to say the least.

How do you force him to learn more about offense? He's been a D1 head coach for 12 years now, he brought in Murray who has the rep as an offensive coach, and has Calhoun and his dad to lean on.

Hurley has talked a big game but he's not backing it up.

isn't that a big part of what the 3 assistants are paid to do? are they too scared to speak up or does Hurley disregard what they have to say? it's gotta be one or the other and both are unacceptable.
