I was thinking that with MM and Sue going into the Naismith HOF, that makes four of Geno's ex-players to go in (Lobo, Swin, MM, and Sue), with three more locks (DT, Tina and Stewie) and a possible, but almost certain (Pheesa) (PB is too early in her career to call it at this time, but she is certainly on her way). It made me think about whether he has coached the most HOF's of any WBB coach? I'm sure those of you bright BY's can find that answer, but if someone has more than Geno, it has to come from the pre-NCAA days. What say you all?

I'm pretty sure it is unquestioned. Longevity, level of success and being a coach in the WNBA era all are factors that no other coach can put together.

There are quite a few of the formative players of Women's Basketball in the hall, but they didn't all come from one team. A quick glance more or less seems to eliminate any coach with more than 2, I'm not sure any coach actually has 2. The only 2 I thought went to the same school "for sure" were Anne Donovan and Nancy Lieberman, although I'm not sure if they were contemporaries or if they had the same coach. I saw players from such diverse schools as Immaculata, Montclair State, USC, Georgia, La Tech and others.

I think you're right, but my question was more about a single coach rather than a particular school.

Yes, but almost as much because of what is coming vs the 4 that will be in after today. Since this happens usually after a long WNBA career ends, the gap between college greatness and being inducted is often 15 or more years later. Agree that DT, Tina and Brianna are locks, that Phee is well on her way, and although early, Paige is on track for this stage of her career.

I think you are leaving out some players who will probably eventually get in with a combination of accomplishments. I think players like Jen Rizz and Renee Montgomery in front offices as well as coaches like Shea Ralph and Carla Berube could eventually get there too.

I got you, but the coaches of the era we are talking about didn't move around particularly. And I could name most of the coaches involved (Montclair State is an exception).

By the way, if you extend to the "W" I think Cheryl Reeve has 4 - Fowles, Moore, Augustus and Whalen.
